Beef Kebab

Summer is coming, it's best for BBQ!! A simple beef kebab with seasonal vegetables is always a good choice!

Just marinate diced beef with soya sauce, pepper and some rice wine. Then thread them on wooden skewers with peppers, tomatoes, courgette, mushrooms.


Sprinkle some olive oil, pepper and salt on top. Put them into oven or grill for 10-15min. For beef, it's just too easy to overcook them, need to be aware of cooking time. You can also replace beef with lamb, or any meats that you like.


Simple, nice and tasty! Perfect for summer party food! ^^

Sickness


Because of the bad weather, I was having sore throat during the weekend. Then I'm now coughing non-stop in front of laptop when I'm writing this down.

It's not good to be sicked. It makes you feel weak and also hate to be alone. Nevertheless, I still have to cook me tea, feed myself! The porridge is perfect for a patient, but the spicy pickled vegetables fried with diced pork and celery definately will make my throat worse. But who cares! I need something strong especially when I am sicked. Shall I try curry tomorrow? :p

Avocado & Orange Salad

To be honest, I have never tried avocado in my life. I have seen them in pictures, even touch them in supermarket, just never taste it.

So this is my first attempt for avocado. Well.. you need to be brave to try new thing! I'm quite happy I have the courage to do it, and I bet this will also be my last time of eating them! LOL



The taste is OK, just that I don't really like it (Avocado should be quite healthy though)! Perhaps I should use them in other cuisines, then I might fall in love with them!

Just a very simple salad, to get the natural original taste of avocado! Peel the skins of for both orange and avocado, sprinkle some lemon juice (optional) and they are ready to be served!

感动莫明


撇开迷信的观念

就是几颗在人间思念的心

挂记着至亲的种种


将心比心

完全可以体会友人

心有如刀切之痛

如果失去生命中重要的人

我想我也会发疯似地

拼命想寻找与另一个世界联系的方法

只求那么一点消息

只求再那么一次

重温在一起珍贵的时刻...

马铃薯泥 Mashed Potatoes

以前最爱肯德鸡的马铃薯泥

超好吃的!

自己做的马铃薯泥

则可以保证原汁原味

没有味精, 吃得健康!

首先把马铃薯切成丁块


滚5-10分钟至到马铃薯软化


滤掉水

用叉子压碎

放入香料(parsley)、奶油、盐与胡椒粉


搅在一起就OK!


咬下去还有一小粒粒的马铃薯, 真香!

妈妈生日快乐

妈妈一向以来都把我们三姐弟照顾得无微不至

(看我们的size就知道了:p)

还记得求学时期

妈妈每天早上起身准备早餐

而且一定会陪我从家里走到大街等学生公车

风雨无阻

以前练习后晚上回来

妈妈都会下些面条

让我填饱肚子后才好上床睡觉

(妈妈把我们当猪养!:p)

妈妈为我们做到实在太多、太多

多得无以回报

不知该如何感谢妈妈

唯有在这特别的日子

愿妈妈福如东海

寿比南山

附上妈妈、姐姐都喜欢的羊肉

芦笋Asparagus

又是芦笋的季节
(应该是芦笋吧!英文是Asparagus)

以前在家都是吃罐头芦笋或是包装好的

现在终于吃到新鲜的, 哈哈哈!

不是很会中餐的煮法

所以这次用的是老外的秘方

作法Methods:

1) Boil the asparagus in lightly salted water for about 2-4minutes.
2) Serve immediately with melted butter.
3) Sprinkle some sea salt and ground pepper to add extra flavour.

Alternatively:

1) Steam or boil the asparagus as above.
2) Wrap the boiled asparagus with Parma Ham.
3) Drizzle with olive oil and bake in oven for 5 minutes at 200degC until ham is crispy.

首先准备材料


加些盐在滚水中, 把芦笋滚2-4分钟


把奶油溶化(叮大约10秒)


撒在芦笋上就OK!


没有多余的调味品, 完完全全带出芦笋的清香味


如果你偏爱味道稍重的

可以再用Parma Ham包起芦笋


撒点榄橄油与胡椒

烤200度大约5分钟至Parma Ham酥脆就行!


又香又脆的Parma Ham与口感独特的芦笋, 好吃!
